Emma Tack
Profile
In 2022, Emma achieved a milestone by obtaining her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology at Ghent University. Drawing upon diverse experiences gained through student jobs, internships, and theses across various psychology domains, Emma decided to embark on a new chapter in her academic journey. Currently, Emma is contributing to the field as a doctoral student at the Health Psychology Lab of Ghent University and the Department of Rehabilitation Sciences and Physiotherapy at the University of Antwerp. She is committed to expanding her knowledge and making meaningful contributions to the intersection of physical activity and cancer within the fields of psychology and physiotherapy.
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Geert Crombez, Dr. Annick De Paepe, and Prof. Dr. An De Groef, Emma is working on the development of a personalized mHealth intervention to promote a healthy lifestyle among cancer survivors. This project is the result of interdisciplinary collaboration between behavioral and engineering sciences. In the long term, the intervention may be used both as a stand-alone intervention, reaching a wider audience, as well as embedded in combination with face-to-face contact with a healthcare provider, forming a blended care approach.
