Maya Braun
Profile
Maya obtained her Master of Science in Clinical Psychology in 2020 at Ghent University. After collecting experience in different areas of psychology during her student jobs, internships and theses, she joined the Health Psychology Lab of Ghent University as a doctoral student.
Under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Geert Crombez, Dr. Annick De Paepe and Dr. Femke De Backere, Maya is working on the promotion of physical activity in healthy adults using an ontology-based eHealth system. She aims to develop an innovative theoretical model, integrating the generic and abstract constructs of an existing theory of health behavior change with the specificity and particularity of the individual. Based on this model, it will be possible to personalize and contextualize the intervention, resulting in more effective behavioral change.
